Nine NFTS graduates have bagged 11 nomination at the BAFTA Craft Awards and the BAFTA Scotland Awards!
Both Screenwriter Regina Moriarty and Marc Williamson are nominated for the Breakthrough Talent Award, Editor Una Ni Dhonghaile for the Editing Fiction award and Composer Martin Phipps is nominated for the Original Music Award. Regina Moriarty’s drama has just won a Royal Television Society Award.
Sound Design graduates Stuart Hilliker and Alex Ellerington are both on the sound team for ‘That Musical We Made,’ which is nominated for the Sound Factual Award AND on the team nominated for the Sound Fiction Award for “That Day We Sang.
And the esteemed Cinematographer Harry Hook is part of the team on “Photographing Africa” which is nominated for the Photography Factual Award.
These nominations come swiftly after the announcement that two NFTS graduates have been nominated for BAFTA Scotland Awards.
Two NFTS Cinematography graduates have bagged two out of the three nominations for best Camera/ Photography at the prestigious BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards - just weeks after graduating!
Steven Ferguson, has been nominated for the NFTS 2015 graduation film SICK and Ian Forbes is the NFTS 2015 graduation film SEAHORSE. BAFTA Scotland celebrates and rewards the diverse array of up-and-coming talent working within Scotland’s moving image industries.
NFTS graduates have won BAFTA Scotland Awards for the past two year's running. Director Paul Wright’s film FOR THOSE IN PERIL snapped up Best Film at the BAFTA Scotland Awards, in 2013 and Director Ewan Stewart won the BAFTA Scotland Short Film Award for GETTING ON – just nine months after graduating!
