NFTS Editing Grads at The Oscars

Apply for Editing, Sound Design & Composing courses by May 7th

 

Congratulations to NFTS Editing graduate Nicolas Chaudeurge who edited the multi-award winning film Still Alice, starring Julianne Moore who won a 2015 Academy Award for her performance.

Nicolas was also the editor on many more award-winning films including The Two Faces of January, Fish Tank Wuthering Heights and Red Road.

Also at the Oscars this year was NFTS graduate Editor Miikka Leskinen who edited Virunga, which was nominated for Best Documentary Feature.


Many of our Editing MA graduates also work in documentary feature films including Disaster Playground, edited by NFTS graduate Alice Powell, which is being screened at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas on March 13th.

And graduate Matteo Bini edited the documentary The Great European Disaster Movie, which was broadcast on BBC 4 Television, last week. Also on the crew for this film were Matt Kelly who provided the music, James Devlin as Conform Editor and Dom Corbisiero and Nikola Medic were the Sound Recordist and Sound Designer/Rerecording Mixer.

Our Editing students benefit from tutoring with some of the leading names in editing including NFTS graduate Ewa Lind (The Warrior, Far North), Humphrey Dixon (A Room with a View, Enemy at the Gates), Robin Sales (Mrs Brown, Topsy- Turvy), Claire Ferguson (Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer, The Beatles in Help!)
