An NFTS 1st year short film North directed by Philip Sheerin and produced by Jacob Thomas has been selected as one of the finalists in the Foreign Category, for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 41st Student Academy Awards competition.
This is the third year in succession that the School has reached this stage and the NFTS has won this competition 6 times.
Academy members will now vote to determine up to three winning films in each category and the winners will be announced later this month.

Film Synopsis: Isolated on a farm Aaron battles with his family to hold onto what he cherishes most.
