The Chicken - a short film written and directed by NFTS 2010 graduate Una Gunjak (Editing) - has been selected for the International Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2014.
The film includes NFTS graduates Jelena Goldbach (Producing 2011), Matthias Pilz (Cinematography 2012) and Giacomo Matteucci (DPP 2011) and has already won the Robert Bosch Stiftung Film Prize for Short Fiction.
In addition, NFTS 2014 Directing Animation graduation film The Bigger Picture directed by Daisy Jacobs, produced by Christopher Hees& co-written by Jennifer Majka has been selected for La Cinéfondation - created to inspire and support the next generation of international filmmakers at the Cannes Film Festival.
It is one of only 16 films that were selected from 1631 entries that were submitted from all over the world to the Cinéfondation - and is the only film from the UK in the Cinéfondation and Short film categories. This is the third year in succession that an NFTS film has played in this category.
