NFTS Comedians at Edinburgh Fringe

Writing & Producing Comedy Course Creates Future Stars

Both Juliette Burton, a current student on the National Film and Television School Writing and Producing Comedy Diploma and alumna Cassie Atkinson are to perform at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Another NFTS comedy student, Rosie Jones, has just won the London regional final of the Funny Women Awards. Over 400 women competed in the heats and Rosie is down to the final ten. The other regional finals are taking place in Edinburgh, Dublin and Manchester.

The final is on 28th September at Koko in Camden.

Award-winning docu-comedian, Juliette Burton’s show, ‘Decision Time’ is on between the 3rd and 14th and 16th and 28th of August at the Gilded Balloon Teviot (Venue 14).

Juliette is also a recipient of the Argus Angel Award (Brighton Fringe 2015 and 2012).

Juliette says: "The NFTS course has been great so far. The course tutor Bill has been very supportive. I'm looking forward to the rest of the course after the Edinburgh Fringe has finished."

Cassie Atkinson who has been described as a 'Future national treasure' **** by ToDoList.org.uk is performing her show, ‘Supernumerary Rainbow’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on the following August dates: 6-9, 11-16, 18-23, 25-27 at ElSabor (Venue 261).
