Best Short Film and Best Animated Film awards

NFTS graduates cleaned up at the EE British Academy of Film and Television Arts Short Film awards by scooping both of the top prizes.

The BAFTA British Short Film and British Short Animation categories celebrate and reward innovative and experimental short fiction and non-fiction films and animation.

NFTS graduate James W. Griffiths won Best Short Film for Room 8 and the British Short Animation prize went to NFTS graduates James Walker, Sarah Woolner, and Yousif Al-Khalifa for their NFTS graduation film Sleeping With The Fishes.

The films will now take part in a BAFTA Shorts Tour 2014 that begins with a special screening at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London on Friday 28 February, attended by the nominated filmmakers. In partnership with Independent Cinema Office (ICO) who will handle all UK theatrical bookings, and the British Council, the films will be shown across internationally through their network of offices in 110 countries.

Congratulations to all of the graduate teams involved in these two BAFTA winning films.
